Can you believe it’s almost May? April has flown by, and the nicer weather is challenging me to stay on task and not spend every waking moment outside. Though Spirit gleefully calls me into nature, and who am I to deny my calling?
I spent the last two mornings birding, watching the small wonders flit from place to place, unconcerned with modern anxieties.
I’m writing this outside as we speak. I hope when nature calls to you in these warmer days, you follow your heart outside. Ground. Connect. Observe the world going by as you center yourself.
The Energy of the Week
This week, it’s all about you and what you accomplished in those tense days of Venus retrograde. It’s here to ground in the chill nature of Taurus season, a time and place my guides have been guiding me to for some time now.
The spread this week:
-The Empress
-The Queen of Wands
-The Nine of Swords
-The Moon
I love my guides. The messages aligning with the astrology never cease to impress and tickle me. The Moon is for the Taurus new moon on April 27, more on that in a minute.
Taurus season is officially here, and we are welcomed by The Empress (representing Venus, which rules Taurus). Venus is our beauty, our money, how we luxuriate in our lives—and Taurus season wants us to make it so.
It’s time to ground into the work that was done during Venus retrograde. What did you learn about yourself and how you value your worth and time? What have you learned about your shadow self?
The Queen of Wands demands confident, actionable integration of our shadow selves. It’s not enough that we’ve acknowledged, released, and worked on that Venus shadow in retrograde. The Empress and Queen of Wands encourage shadow integration in pursuit of earthly abundance.
The Queen of Wands’ black cat is a companion, a guide, and a shadow-self representation. You’re stronger for overcoming what kept you in the dark. Now it’s time for it to be a companion in strength and curiosity.
This ultimately takes work. The Nine of Swords reminds us that change is difficult, and it’s not uncommon to fall back into old habits and feel as if you’ve taken several steps back. This isn’t the case. You may find yourself feeling frustrated and scared to get to know this new, stronger side of you, but this truer you is meant to be here. Growth happens in uncomfortability.
The new lunation of the Taurus moon graces us with its relaxed, grounding presence on April 27. New moons are portals to opportunity. What strengths do you now recognize within yourself? Can you be brave enough to make it work in your favor?
The moon is so special because it shines so brightly at night. We possess the same ability to shine through what we find to be the darkest parts of ourselves. Don’t deny its existence. It’s an essential step during integration, frustration and all.
Permit yourself to be a complex individual full of contradictions and conflicting feelings. Ground yourself in your unique intricacies and invite abundance as a fuller, better version of yourself.
